Directora del cuerpo de investigadores. Doctora en Medicina por la Universidad Nacional de Colombia y especialista en epidemiología. Por más de 10 años ha trabajado en el Proyecto Epidemiológico Guanacaste – Fundación INCIENSA en Costa Rica. Su trabajo ha estado principalmente relacionado con la planificación, supervisión y conducción de los trabajos de campo de varios de los estudios en VPH y epidemiología de cáncer cervical en colaboración con el Instituto Nacional de Cáncer de los Estados Unidos y la Agencia Internacional de Investigación en Cáncer, así como varias colaboraciones con otros científicos y grupos en Latinoamérica. En los últimos 8 años ha participado en la preparación y publicación de más de 40 artículos científicos sobre el VPH y el cáncer cervical, en revistas indexadas internacionales.
