Telipogon is a "difficult" genus, especially when one is dealing with dried museum specimens. The flowers are very delicate, and pressed flowers lose a good deal of their character. If the flowers are pressed carefully and mounted "face up," one can usually identify dried specimens; but once they are dried, it is almost impossible to soften these delicate flowers without destroying them.
